Vice President – Charlotte (Char) Ann Rosario Harris

Charlotte Ann Rosario Harris was born on Guam.  The daughter of Jesus and Annie Rosario, she is the oldest of 6 children.  Growing up in a military family she lived in Guam, several states and overseas, but eventually settled in Maryland when her father retired from the United States Army.

In 2009, Char married Melvin Harris and together they have a blended family of 9 children and 3 grandchildren.  Even with a multicultural family, the Chamorro traditions are still a strong influence in Char’s life and the upbringing of her children.  Since moving to Maryland in 1981, her family has been active members of the Guam Society of America, with her parents, chairing many committees and holding several offices.  She has held the position of Vice-President in 2012-2013 and 2015-2016.  Char has also been a strong supporter of Society.  She has chaired the Childrens’ Christmas Party Committee several times and has chaired the Cherry Blossom Princess Section Committee as well as several Cherry Blossom Princess Coronation Balls.  Two of her daughters are former Cherry Blossom Princesses.

As Vice President of the Guam Society of America, Charlotte hopes to continue to share the Chamorro legacy with her family and serve her Chamorro community.
