Guam Society Softball Team Takes 1st Place in NCSS Softball Tournament

On Saturday, October 15, 2016 the Guam Society of America’s Softball Team took first place during the annual National Conference of States Societies Summer Insanity Softball tournament.   Guam dominated the championship game with a score of 26 to 3 against the Montana State Society team.   The team had previously placed runner up in last  year’s tournament and this year were in it to win it.  Led by Coach Anthony ‘Ton’ Cruz, Team Guam made quick work of several teams enroute the championship game against Montana.

NCSS President, William Christian, presented the trophy to Team Guam and all of the supporters who came out to root them on during the tournament.

This was Team Guam’s fourth year in competition during the NCSS tournament, inching closer to the championship game each year.   Congratulations to all of the players on bringing home the trophy this year.  As in all events, Team Guam celebrated with an impromptu island barbeque after the game.
