Our annual Chamorro Night Event is a just a few weeks away and we are looking forward to a great night for you and all of the attendees.  Details for the event are provided below and can be downloaded at this link: 2015 Chamorro Night Flyer

DATE: Saturday, October 10, 2015

TIME: 6pm-Midnight
LOCATION: Accokeek Banquet Hall, 16111 Livingston Road, Accokeek, MD  20607
(approximately 10 miles south of the beltway off Indian Head Highway, MD Route 210)

ATTIRE: Island Wear – No flip-flops/zories, shorts or t-shirts please.
This is a very popular event and past events have sold out early.
With a larger venue this year, we can accommodate more people.

Ticket Prices for the event are:
- Guam Society Members:  $25/person (includes ticket for the membership raffle prize)
- Non-members:  $35/person
- Guam Society Honorary Members “Manaina”:  $10/person (you must be on the Guam
Society’s Honorary Member/’Manna” roster to be eligible for this ticket)
- Students (Age 13-17)/Undergraduate  College Students):  $10
- Children (Age 5-12):  $5
- Children Under 5 yrs old):  Free
- Complimentary water and soda will be available; tickets for beer/wine:  $2 (available online)
The 2015 Chamorro Night theme is “Chamorro Women” (featuring a panel of outstanding women leaders).
The event program includes:
- Cultural Artifact Displays & Demonstrations
- Island Dance Performances
- Music and Dancing
- Vendors
- Raffles – including 50/50, Membership & Prize:  Grand Prize Winner receives a week vacation at a resort in the Mainland, USA
The night will also have the selection/announcement of the 2015 Cherry Blossom Princess and Junior Princess for the Guam Society.  They will represent the Society in the Cherry Blossom Festival and activities during the 2016 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.
We will have a 2016 Membership Renewal Drive – renew your membership for 2016 at the event and you’ll be eligible for the membership raffle prize  or if you’re not yet a member, pay for 2015 and 2016 online now – at a minimum, you’ll be able to pay for the event and take advantage of the discounted membership ticket price and be eligible for the membership raffle.

We will also have the usual 50/50 Raffle and additional Raffle Prizes during the event.   If you’d like to contribute a prize to the raffle, please contact us at info@guamsociety.org or call (240) 298-8027.

Volunteer Opportunities for high school and college students:  This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours for the 2016 Guam Society Scholarships.  If you’re interested, contact us at info@guamsociety.org / chamorronight@gmail.com. We will need help with raffle ticket sales, decorations, set up and clean up after the event.
