2014 16th Annual Roberto LG Lizama Memorial Classic – Friday, August 29, 2014

The 16th Annual Guam Society Roberto LG Lizama Memorial Classic Golf Tournament will be held Friday, August 29, 2014, at the Courses at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland.  Kick start the 2014 Labor Day Weekend by coming out to support a fantastic cause as the tournament benefits the Guam Society of America’s Scholarship Program.  Please click on this link for the flyer and points of contact information 2014 RLGL Golf Tournament Flyer-Final-2.  We ask that you share and encourage family/friends/ acquaintances/co-workers to participate.  This is the Guam Society’s annual fundraising effort for scholarship funds that are awarded deserving and aspiring college-bound students. Enjoy a great day of golf and a delicious island fiesta buffet.

COST: $100/player or $400/Team. Includes: green fee, cart, beverages, and Guam-style Fiesta at the Freedom Park immediately following the tournament (NOTE: This is a different location and not at the Club House).

Fiesta details will be given out at registration. Fiesta tickets are $10 each for non-golfer guests.

In the MEMO section of the check, please note “For Roberto L.G. Lizama Memorial Fund”. Payments made online will be deposited into the NCSS Charity Fund, as well.  This partnership with the NCSS allows each donor to receive credit for a tax deductible contribution in support of the annual educational scholarships awarded by the Guam Society of America.Tournament begins with an 8am Shotgun Start (with check in not later than 7:30am), Captains Choice tournament.  Sign up early to play as the tournament fills quickly.

(NOTE:  Entries must be received no later than Friday, August 18, 2014.  Participation is not guaranteed until payment is received.)

Prizes:  Awarded to top teams in various flights depending on the total of teams registered.  Additional prizes will be awarded for male and female winners of the following categories:  Closest to the Pin; Closest to the Line; and Longest Drive.

Mulligans and raffle tickets for door prizes may be purchased in advance online or on the day of the competition.  Prizes from previous tournaments included:  iPad, LCD Flat Screen HDTV, Callaway Driver, free rounds of golf, and much, much more.

Non-golfers and guests are welcomed to join in the fiesta at $10 per person.

Cancellation Policy:  The tournament will only be cancelled if the staff at Andrews Air Force Base Golf course determines that the course is unplayable.  A make up date will then be scheduled; sorry no refunds for this event.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From North and South at the Beltway (I-495/95) In Maryland, take Exit 7A and follow Route 5 South (Waldorf). Exit Coventry Way and make a left at the light staying in the right lane. Make a right at the next light onto Old Alexandria Ferry Rd. Make a left at the second light to the Virginia Ave gate. Take the left at the traffic light onto West Perimeter Road and the golf course will be on the left.Andrews
